Zdycha, P. (Technicka Univ., Zvolen (Slovakia). Lesnicka Fakulta)
Forest politics were researched as an independence phenomenon though it is part of economic politics and participates in state politics. Forest politics existed for many centuries in the Hungarian state and later in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. The Czechoslovak Republic carried on with this tradition. The period 1948-1949 is "discontinued" in forest politics. Politics as a whole drifted toward socialization of forests. User rights were superior to owner rights. The situation changed in November 1989 when re-privatization corrected mistakes made in the past.
