Study was conducted on the basis of Factorial in Completely Randomized Design to compare the average daily gain, to find out the suitable dietary treatments and the turnover of investment for fattening of old underfed cattle after working age. Underfed cattles were divided into two groups according to their apparent frame sizes and fed ad libitum with urea treated rice straw of urea treated rice straw supplemented with rice bran or corn meal, respectively. During 112 days of feeding period the cattle of both sizes showed a similar growth rate in all dietary treatments. Among the feeding groups the average daily gain and feed conversion ratio were significantly higher for the cattle fed supplemently with rice bran or cornmeal than for those fed only urea treated rice straw (P0.05). The supplement of rice bran or corn meal clearly enhanced the investment cost. However, the supplemented diets could promote a higher turnover due to a better performance of the cattles both as living cattle and as a carcass
