[Production and technological characteristics of F-1 clone generation of the variety Merlot in Vinaracko and Zupa vine district [Yugoslavia]]

The climate and soil conditions were suitable for development, growing and fruiting of investigated clones in Vinaracko and Zupa vine districts (Yugoslavia). Population of the variety Merlot is represented with more positive clones. Grape yield was in full dependance on the investigated clones. In location "Vinarci", the average grape yield of marked clones varied in significant limits from 3.4 kg/trunk to 6.5 kg/trunk. In location "Stubal", the average grape yield of F-1 clone generation varied from 3.6 kg/trunk (clone 034) to 4.2 kg/trunk (clone 023). In location "Vinarci", the content of sugar in must of marked clones varied from 22.0 to 24.0, and the content of total acids in must from 6.5 g/l to 7.2 g/l. In location "Stubal", the average content of sugar in must of F-1 clone generation varied from 20.4 to 22.0, and the average content of total acids in must from 6.5 g/l to 8.3 g/l.
