The preliminary study on the leaf photosynthetic characteristics of hybrid wheat Huayou 8 and Huayou 5

In this paper, we have compared the difference of photosynthetic characteristics between the hybrid wheat and the common wheat. The results show upper leaves such as the 9th and flag leaf of hybrid wheat have higher value on chlorophyll content, net photosynthetic rate, souble protein, RuBPcase and RuBPoase activity than those of common wheat. But the superiority of chlorophyll relative steady phase (RSP) is little, and there aren't superiority for leaf photosynthetic active duration (PAD) in hybrid wheat compared to those in common wheat. The higher photosynthetic rate of upper leaf in hybrid wheat is possibly little influenced by the RuBPcase content. It mainly relies on the increment of the RubPcase activity especially the RuBPcase initial activity
