The content of milk urea in herds participating in milk recording

On the ground of milk which contains urea and protein it is possible to estimate how much energy and protein the milking-cows have. For more than a year the content of urea in milk of all the cows who are being controlled has been determined in the Animal Recording Centre. The results of the analysis show that the greatest problem in the case of winter rations until now has been a low content of protein in feed.
