Specificities of bio-food consumption and trade

Bio-product trade in Hungary is extremely asymmetrical and export-oriented. At the same time, domestic trade in bioproducts cannot be celled an individual section of the market so far, constituting at present and for the immediate future only a starting market. In order to get out of this market gap, significant improvement of marketing activities, cooperation, enlargement of the shop net, and state support are required. If the expected economic increase starts, along with the rise of the real income of the population, development of the share in the market may take place. On the basis of reality it can be predicted that in the field of bio-product consumption Hungary may catch up with the level of highly developed countries only with a delay of 8-10 years
