The appearance and presence of the horse-chestnut leaf miner moth (Cameraria ohridella Deschke et Dimic) was first reported by Szaboky (1994). This species had at the time infested a considerable part of Hungary and caused then and in the following years problems in many places. The most important biological characteristics have been described in details by Czencz and Burges (1996). The leaf miner appeared in large numbers in the parks and alleys of many towns and caused an immense damage that was first of aesthetical and physiological nature (early discolouration of foliage, premature leaf drop) and this developed to a degree in most infected habitats that older trees did not survive the heavy and early returning loss of foliage. The overwintering and the two following generations show very big differences in their swarming and flight dynamics. In present article the authors deal with the occurence of hourse chestnut leaf miner in Department Gyor-Moson-Sopron, with its damage caused and report on results of a control treatment carried out against it in the last year
