Studies on the response of local goat to hormonal treatments have been limited. Response of crossebred does to pregnant mare serum gonadotropin (PMSG) or human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) treatment has been investigated in this experiment. Thirty-three, 3 to 4 year old does were used. Does were pretreated with intravaginal progestagen sponges (60 mg MAP) for 14 days. On the day of sponge removal does were divided into three equal groups. Two groups were injected either (750 im) of PMSG or 500 Iu of HCG. Does in group three were control. Estrus was detected in 91,100,91 of does in the control, PMSG and HCG group respectively. Kidding rates were 73,100,91 and the number of kids born were 10,18,13 in control,PMSG and HCG treatment groups respectively. In conclusion, PMSG was more effective than HCG in increasing the number of kids production
