According to eight-year data the number of earthworms in spring was most affected by a grown crop : 89,6-92,9 un./square m were found arable layer of manured beets and perennial grasses, 65,9 - in the firs year clover and timothy mixture, 54,2 - in barley and 40,3 un./square m - in winter wheat. A preceding crop influenced slightly. The number of earthworms in all rotation directly depended on the area of perennial grasses and, on the contrary - on the area of cereals. Fewer earthworms species were found in the cereal crop rotation and barley monoculture.
