[Biological efficiency of herbicide application on sugarbeet crops]

High weed infestation of sugarbeet fields in Belarus requires new more efficient methods of weed control. Research on split application of combined herbicides Betanal Progress AM 18 EC and Expander 40 SC and their combinations with other herbicides has been carried out in Brest region of Belarus Republic. The investigation results of 1996 show that Betanol Progress AM EC 18 and Expander 40 SC in combination with Poast Plus 12 EC decreased weed infestation by 82.6-91.4 and increased root yield by 15.8-48.9 c/ha. Sugar content in beets was also increased. The best results of herbicide biological efficiency were obtained at three times application
