Coccinella septempunctata an important predator of aphids is well recognized as an effective biological control agent. The predator has high potential of predation both in the immature as well as adult stage . Keeping easy availability, synchronization with aphids life cycle and establishment in view, the present study provides information on the biology and predatory efficacy of both immature and adult stages of Coccinella septempunctata under laboratory conditions. The larvae passed through four nymphal instars occupying 2.5, 1.91, 2.0 and 4 days, respectively. The adult life under laboratory conditions was very short and it ranged, on an average, between 6 and 8 days. Adults as well as larvae fed variously on aphids and consumed on an average 1203.556 aphids in the entire life which completed in 17.19 days.
