Ten varieties of sugarcane viz; COL-54, CO-975, BL-4, Triton, AE-86-327, COJ-1148, L-118, PR-1000, CP-67-412, and NCO-310, were sown during spring season. The results on top borer infestation indicated simple correlation between all the varieties and temperature was positive and non-significant except BL-4, where the correlation was significant. The correlation of relative humidity with borer infestation in the all varieties was positive and non-significant however, correlation of top borer infestation was negative and non-significant. In NCO-310. The commercial variety PR-1000 was comparatively more susceptible and AES-86-327 was less susceptible to the attack of top borer. The incidence of stem borer was invariably recorded during first and second week of April. The simple correlation between all the varieties and temperature was positive. The relative humidity had also positive influence on the infestation of stem borer in all varieties.
