[The behaviour of some Romanian and foreign maize hybrids in the experimental plots of Neamt, Bacau and Vrancea districts]

In 1994, in Neamt, Bacau and Vrancea districts were set up a few experimental plots that included a number of 41 Romanian and foreign maize hybrids, in order to identify the most valuable hybrids in the influence zone of Secuieni Agricultural Research Station. All hybrids had a good vigour at the phase of 5-7 leaves and during growing until blossom, hybrids were differentiated by height, number of leaves per plant, leaf colour and leaf position on stem. Among Romanian hybrids became conspicuous:Turda 160, Suceava 108 and Turda 260 and among the foreign one: Eva, Quatro, Vista, UAS-2292, UAS-2550, Marieta, Optima, Odessa.
