Resistance of some microorganisms to some kinds of disinfectants is known from published papers. In this paper the impact of the decontaminants Antibacteric-P and UNI (0.02 percent and 0.07 percent respectively) on the growth of selected food contaminants was investigated. Only 0.02 percent concentration of Antibacteric UNI had a stimulative effect on E. coli. Only 0.07 percent concentration of the same decontaminant showed inhibitory effects on Enterobacter spp. Proteus mirabalis was not inhibited with given concentrations. Inhibition of Citrobacter spp. was achieved only by applying 0.07 percent concentration. Concentrations of MIVAL (0.04 percent and 0.14 percent) had in fact no effect on tested microrganisms and showed only a minimum inhibitory effect. The growth of wort bacteria isolated from brewery plant is even stimulated with low concentrations (0.05 percent) of SAVO and CHLORON decontaminants. Similarly, a stimulating effect of 0.05 percent concentration of SAVO on S. diastaticus was noted. Ps. aeruginosa showed some resistance to low concentrations of SAVO
