Fargasova, A. (Slovenska Technicka Univ., Bratislava (Slovak Republic). Katedra Zivotneho Prostredia)
Chronic ecotoxicological effects, expressed as growth, respiratory rate and chlorophyll a content inhibition for alga Scenedesmus quadricauda, as well as acute ecotoxicological effect, introduced as mortality for benthic organisms Tubifex tubifex and Chironomus plumosus, were determined for 6 metals (Cu+, Cu2+, Mn2+, MoO4 2-, Ni2+, VO4 3-). Besides individual metal effects the effects of combinations were also observed. During combination tests only two organisms were used, S. quadricauda and Ch. plumosum, and metals were added in the tested media in concentrations corresponding with determined EC sub(50) an LC sub(50) values. In the majority of combinations, ecotoxicological effects decreased compared with effects of individual metals
