Study on the decomposition of animal manures in Yasothon soil
1993
Surasak Sereepong
Chemical composition of the manures showed that chicken-manure had a higher nutrients content than cattle manure. More C/N ratio in soil when cattle manure was mixed with the soil than incorporated chicken manure treatment. The value of C/N ratio in soil decreased with increasing time after the addition of manures. The quantity of CO2-C evolved increased with increased in time of incorporated cattle manure. The amount of CO2-C evolved also increased with increasing the rate of N fertilizer application. The effect of chicken manure on plant growth was greater than cattle manure.
