Excess vegetative growth of groundnut in rainy season is common. To reduce top growth by growth retardant may increase pod yield. The experiment was carried out at Khon Kaen Field Crop Research Center in rainy season 1990. It was conducted in randomize complets block design with 4 replication. The treatments consisted of the spray of SADH (at the rate of 1.5 kg ai/ha) at 4 different age of groundnut viz., 30 DAE, 50 DAE, 70 DAE, 30+50 DAE and no application of SADH. The result revealed that to spray SADH at 30 DAE or 30+50 DAE reduce pod yield through the reduction of pod number per plant, pod size and seed size. The application of SADH at 70 DAE increased pod yield because of more pod number per plant and larger seed.
