[Magnesium nutrition of grapevine in dependence on supply level of NPK]
1996
Perovic, N. (Poljoprivredni institut, Podgorica (Yugoslavia))
In the four-year experiment carried out in the production vineyard, the effect of various quantities of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on the magnesium content in the soil and leaves of the grapevine of Vranac variety was studied. It was found that the application of potassium resulted in increased magnesium content in the soil. The increase was iversely proportional to the size of the applied doses. The application of increasing doses of phosphorus caused the decrease in the content in the leaf of the studied culture. A strong correlative dependence between the potassium and magnesium content in the leaf of Vranac variety and negative dependence of medium intensity between the magnesium and calcium and phosphorus content was found out. The application of higher doses of potassium fertilizers aimed at achieving high and stable yields of the Vranac variety in the conditions of skeleton carbonate brown soils must be accompanied by magnesium supplementation.
