The paper encompasses edible mushrooms from the Boletaceae family which have to date been registered in Montenegro (Yugoslavia). The introductory part summarizes nutritional values of the mushrooms and their distribution in these parts. Since the local mycologists find mycorrhizal mushrooms to be most endangered and at the same time subject to intense commercial exploitation, protection measures are proposed in the final part of this paper.
