Tractor tillage efficiency

The following conclusions can be drawn based on the tests of potential tractive characteristics of the same power crawler and wheeled tractor types in tillage: the crawler tractor achieved higher productivity in all tillage operations, ranging from 112.75 - 148.31 in comparison to the wheeled tractor, thus providing tillage faster by 27.05 per hectare within the overall tillage technology applied; total fuel consumption per hectare of the crawler tractor in tillage was lower by 15.12 in comparison to the wheeled one; fuel energy per one litre of fuel consumed in tillage generated by the crawler tractor was higher by 11.67 than by the wheeled one. Obtained results show higher tillage efficiency of the crawler tractor type.
