A number of physicochemical soil properties depend on mineralogical composition. The mineral composition of three soil profiles has been studied. These soils are located in northern and southern slopes of Sakar mountain and Eastern Rhodoppes, and derived from different parent materials. The mineral composition of the investigated cinnamonic forest soil depend mainly on the total content of elements in parent material, climate conditions and stages of soil-forming processes. The total contents and the mineral distribution along soil profiles show a textire differentiation and manifestation of processes of leaching, lassivage, clay in situ formation, as well as an accumulation of Al3+, Fe2+ oxides in the illuvial horizons.
