Effect of borax fertilizer on growth, yield, and quality of three cauliflower cultivars

The trial was carried out at the experimental farm IPPTP Berastagi. A Randomized Block Design with three replications was used. To find out the effect of borax application on the growth, yield, and quality of cauliflower three cultivars of cauliflower: Cirateun, Early Snow Ball, and Berastagi and three application rates of Borax: 0, 7.5 and 15 kg/ha were used as treatments. The results indicated Berastagi cultivar had a better yield than two other cultivars. Application of 15 kg/ha borax increased the yield about 26.55 percent and improved the curd quality in terms of dimension and hardness. Borax application at 15 kg/ha increased the weight of curd of Berastagi cultivar about 15.5 percent, Cirateun 27.18 percent and Early Snow Ball 53.57 percent
