The objective of this research is to obtain response of five broiler strains (Arbor Acres, Hubbard, Lohmann, Ross, and Starbro) under different feed qualities. Two kind of feeds each of which has different energy are implemented. One has protein balance (P-1 : 20 percent protein -2.800 kcal/kgwhile the other has P-2 : 20 percent protein-3.000 kcal/kg). The way by which the research was conducted is a complete random design with three repeatation using 5 X 2 factorial experiments. Performance of production is measured through four menas i.e hypothetical growth rate, body weight, feed conversion, and carcass quality up to 7 weeks. The result shows that Hubbard strain grows faster than both Lohmann and Starbro strain in the sense that it is more efficient because only needs low energy feed while it also produces better carcass. In contrast, both Arbor Acres and Ross strain have better performance when supplied by higher energy feed.
