[Introduction concerning to principles of combating of animals infectious diseases in Latvia]

Early diagnostic and continuos prevention of infections disease are a main functions and most important process of State veterinary service, veterinary practice and veterinary research. Second permanent function of veterinary service is a liberation of infected heard from infectious pathogens. It is necessary, by use suitable activities of control, to prevent prevent and eradicate not animals infectious diseases only, but outbreaks of antroposoonoses, which performs a threats for humans health, too. It should be release by competent authorities of State veterinary service - official veterinary inspectors together with veterinarians - private practitioners by permanent analyze of information, make a conclusions and prognoses of epizootic situation.
