Notes on species composition of bats in the St. Paul Subterranean River National Park, Palawan Island, Philippines

A total of nine species belonging to three families were captured using mist nets and scoop nets inside the 4.3 accessible area of the St. Paul Subterranean River National Park, Palawan Island, Philippines. Sampling was done from October 14 to 19, 1993. Five major roosting sites were identified and population estimates per species were made. Species identification and behavioral observations were also noted. The result of the studies were used in formulating mitigating measures against the extinction of bats and other undocumented flora and fauna of the cave
