1999
Hashmi, N. (Government Coll., Faisalabad (Pakistan)) | Zafar, M.I.
The effect of different socio-economic and demographic variables is examined on two dependent variables i.e. contraceptive use and fertility levels. It was found that duration of marriage, contraceptive use, spousal discussion and husband's educational level have bearing upon reproductive behaviour. Highly significant effect of spousal discussion, and husband's education indicated that men's reproductive motivation is essential to lower the family size in Pakistan. The policy implication of the study necessitate to promote the modern attitude of husband-wife relationship so that the desired population can be achieved.
