State of infrastructure, its shortcomings and directions of development in Dabrowa Tarnowska district

Paper presents the results of studies carried out in 1998 in Dabrowa Tarnowska district, Malopolska privince. 78 localities within seven communes forming the district were investigated to determine the current state of their technical and social infrastructure (transport, roads, energy supply facilities, telecommunication, water supply and sewage management, health service, education and culture). Although much progress was made over last years there are still considerable differences among individual communes showing that some important defficiencies require the remedy
