In the trial, wilted silage from Lolium multiflorum Lamk. was fed to a group of 10 dairy cows (Slovakian Spotted Cattle) during 360 days. Mean dry matter (DM) content of the wilted silage was 405.71 g/kg and DM intake by dairy cows from this silage was 9.90-12.82 kg per head and day. The lower values are valid for the first and the second month of lactation. Mean milk yield recorded in the research group was 5082.2 kg for the lactation. Production efficiency of the investigated wilted silage ranged between 9.6 and 10.35 kg of milk per head and day. Average consumption of concetrate was 180.6 g per litre of milk. The use of wilted L. multiflorum silage showed positive effects on all the requirements of technologies for making cheese and other dairy products
