Extraction method of phosphorus from phosphate rock materials to assess the reliable guaranteed analysis of the direct-use phosphate rock fertilizer
1993
Supharat Chitchamnong
Experiment on extraction method of phosphorus from phosphate rock materials to assess the reliable guaranteed analysis of the direct-use phosphate rock fertilizer was complied of 2 subexperiments, a greenhouse and laboratory subexperiment. A greenhouse subexperiment on "available" phosphorus in phosphate rock material as extracted by plant was planting sets of rice and soybean grown on Rangsit, Map Bon, Pak Chong and Takhli soil series with 4 rates of phosphate rocks of 8 sourses in 3 replications. The value of "available" phosphorus in phosphate rock by plant extraction was derived from maximum response from all added phosphate rock with adjusting for fertilizer efficiency coefficient. A laboratory subexperiment on "available" phosphorus in phosphate rock materials as extracted by chemicals was sets of 13 extraction methods in duplicate. The reliable chemical extraction methods found were: 1) modified AOAC 1980 by Agricultural Regulatory Division, 1 N ammonium citrate pH 7, 60 minute, by total P of residue extraction. 2) Mackay et. al. method, 1 N ammonium citrate pH 7, 60 minute, sum of 4 extractions. 3) Hoffmann and Mager method, 2 percent formic acid, 60 minute, and 4) Mackay et. al. method, 2 percent formic acid, 60 minute, sum of 2 extractions.
