Effect of different forms and rates of nitrogen fertilizers on some agronomic and technologic characters of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) in Van (Ercis) ecological conditions
1997
Dede, O.
The effects of different nitrogen levels and nitrogenous fertilizer forms on certain agronomical and technological characters of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) grown in Van (Ercis) ecological conditions in 1995 and 1996 years were evaluated. Based on two year average, significant differences were determined between potato cultivars (Caspar and Kondor) for most of the characters investigated. Nitrogenous fertilizer forms showed a significant effect only on dry mater content (%). The effect of different nitrogen levels was significant on tuber yield, plant height per hill, number of tuber per hill and protein ratio (%). It was concluded that, economical optimum nitrogen level was 18 kg N/da with 2564,2 kg/da tuber yield as an average of two cultivars
