Green seed forming is one of the big problem of soybean production in Thailand. It caused decreasing of grain quality and seed germination. Affect of soybean pests was investigated to prove whether they were the factors of green seed forming or not, and lead to solve the problem, soybean variety CM.60 was planted in the pot at Chiang Mai Field Crop Research Center in 1989, two plants per pot, and watered twice a day. Planing was designed in grouped comparision, there were 12 replications (1 pot per one rep.) Five species of soybean insect pest were studied by releasing beanfly on soybean at V1-2 stage aphid and leafroller at V3-4 stage, green stink bug and pod borer at R3-6 stage. Plant height, yield component and number of green seed were recorded and analysed. The result were as following, only damaged by green stink bug which induced green seed on soybean, but it is the immature seed. Number of good pods, good seeds and yield of soybean which treated by five insect pests decreasing 26-51, 30-54 and 33-46 % respectively. Further more soybean (which treated by beanfly, soybean aphid and leafroller) had shorter stem, and only soybean aphid decreased the seed size.
