[A Rhodotorula glutinis yeast strain - a producer of protein and vitaminous substances and carotenoids]

The basis of the invention is selecting the yeast strain which is the new culture, synthesizing protein and vitaminous substances and carotenoids, with stable characteristics. The strain of Rhodotorula glutinis that meets these requirements is selected. At present it is located at the Depositarium of the Institute of Microbiology and Virusology (Kyiv, Ukraine) under the number Y-5002. The strain allows to raise the output of carotenoides by 1.5-1.6 times and to perform process at the rate of diluting the medium which is higher by 10-11 %. As a result, high competitiveness of the strain is observed, as well as its stability under discontinuous growing. The bank of the cultures produced is enlarged by creation of the new strain
