[Scientific aspects of forming the domestic Simmenthal meat cattle]

Main aspects of forming the Ukrainian Simmenthal meat breed (former milk and meat breed) for years of rearing it in Ukraine and its productive characteristics are considered. The relationship of the Simmenthals of domestic and foreign breeding by genetic factors is revealed. Their reproduction is found to be purebred rearing of the Simmenthals. Breeding methods of producing new types and lines in the meat breed on the basis of the domestic and world genetic pool are worked out. Main methodological and genetic-organizational approaches when using a classic technology of managing specialized meat cattle husbandry are defined
