Simovic, S. | Markovic, G. (Agronomski fakultet, Cacak (Yugoslavia))
Consequences of the negative antropogenic activities are evident in all components of aquatic ecosystems. They also present in the upper course of the Zapadna Morava river, Serbia (Yugoslavia). That part of the Zapadna Morava course is a recipient of the large quantities of waste waters from different sources (industry, urban activities, agriculture etc.). During the last decade, the quality of river water has deteriorated and significant deviated from the set 2nd class. The change of ecological conditions in biotop has left the consequences in biota (hydrobionts). The greatest change has occurred on inchthyofauna that became quantitatively poor, and its qualitative compositions have also been changed. Such degradation of aquatic ecosystems of the Zapadna Morava river endangers the living quality of exposed human population.
