The influence of utilization of raw and extruded soybean grain of standard variety (Aura) and Kunitz variety with reduced content of trypsin inhibitor on the production results of calves during the first 4 months of growth, was investigated. Trypsin inhibitor content in raw soybean grain of Aura variety amounted up to 32.5 g/kg and in Kunitz variety 14.9 g/kg. After the dry extrusion process its activity was reduced almost three times and amounted to 8.9 g/kg with the variety Aura and 3.5 g/kg with the variety Kunitz. The highest average daily gain of 670 g were calves on the treatment with extruded Kunitz soybean (P0.05). Utilization of extruded soybean grain in relation to the raw grain gave by 7.2% greater daily gain and demonstrated differences were statistically significant (P0.05). The nutrition of calves with concentrate mixtures in which Kunitz soybean was included, in relation to the standard soybean variety Aura, resulted in greater gains as well as in better utilization of ration nutrients.
