This paper outlines the results of the evaluation of flood coincidence of the Danube river and its most important tributaries within the whole drainage basin. The methodological approach and computation scheme were extensively discussed in a previously published paper (Prohaska, Isailovic, 1997/lit 5). The presented results shown that the flood hazard estimates should be based on the assessment of flood wave coincidence of the main river and its tributaries.
