The analyses carried out show that calcuric chernozems on lios have a high chlorosis-causing ability concerning vines. The amounts of active carbonates ans assimilable iron in the soil should be determined when new vineyards are being planted in such soils. Having in mind the index of chlorosis-causing ability, a suitable chlorosis-resistant rootstock should be choosen. Otherwise vines will be affected by chlorosis.
