There has been carried out a study of the functional traits in buffalo crosses F1, R3 and R2 generation from the newly created buffalo population in Bulgaria.The number of lactation has significantly influenced (P0.001) the functional traits of the udder characterizing the milking ability of the buffalo cows.The second factor wich has been included - generation - has not significantly influenced only the trait - average minute yield of milk.The buffalo cows crosses R2 generation have had highest LS-estimations of the functional traits of the udder, followed by R1 and F1 generation.
