Associative N2-fixation makes a significant contribution to nitrogen nutrition of cereals in temperate environment. Associative N2-fixing bacteria Azospirillum brasilense have been proved to have beneficial effect on crop yield. Azospirillum inoculation promotes plant growth, mineral nutrition and N content in barley grain and dry mass of grasses
