2000
Mandre, M. (Estonian Agricultural Univ., Tartu (Estonia). Forest Research Inst.)
The content of nutrients and length of Scots pine needles and shoots, also the photosynthetically active pigments of needles was studies on a dune Tootusmaegi in South-West Estonia in a small but manifold transect in point of nutrition condition of trees. Results give an insight into the nutrition state of pines in plain, slopes and on top of the dune, and show that there exists a permanent connection between the content of nutrients and the physiological state of tree. The date obtained indicated that N, K, N/K and N/Chl, and N/Car are the limiting factor for pine needles and shoots growth on a dune
