The optimisation of substrate dispensers for C. pomonella in regions with one generation is described. Emission rates of (E,E)-8-10-dodecadien-1-ol (I) from Feroflor and Minifer type dispensers is measured in field and in laboratory experiments. In field tests the evaporation follows the first order process rules. A new Miniket UM dispenser was designed as two-component active blend carrier where mixture of (I) and dodecanol (12:OH) was used as attractant. The evaporation rate of Miniket dispensers diminishes less quickly during the againg process compared with Minifer dispensers. Because of the lower surface concentration of (I) in Miniket dispensers, There are less nonpheromone isomers of (I) in effluvia. Miniket dispensers had somewhat higher emission rate of (I) at the end of flight period to compare with larger dispensers
