[Efficiency of input using on the coconut farming system in West Java (Indonesia)]

One of the ways to evaluate farm level production process is by conducting farm efficiency analysis. The study was conducted on Ciamis and Sukabumi. A survey method was used to investigate the efficiency of input used on the coconut farming system. The data was collected on September-November 1996. The study result showed that the input of family labour or hired labour, fertilizer and seedling material on the coconut farming system in Ciamis and Sukabumi have not efficient yet. To get the maximum profit, realocation of the input using is still needed until the marginal production value has the same to the input price of that coconut farming system
