The constraint of potato production is the lack of quality seed tubers, so the use of true potato seeds (TPS) can be an alternative for potato propagation. The experiment was conducted at Balai Benih Induk Hortikultura (BBI) Sekicau, West Lampung from 1995-1997. The objective of the research were to investigate effects of true seed lines, planting media, plant population, and fertilizers on yield of potato grown from true potato seeds (TPS) by using a seedling tuber method. The results of experiments showed that (1) TPS progeny grew well with progeny HPS 7/67 and Serrana x DTO-28 showing the highest yield and the highest number to tubers, (2) There were yield and number of tubers differences among various planting media. The mixtures of top-soil + sandy + manure (2:1:1) or sub soil + sandy + manure (2:1:1) resulted the highest yield and the highest number of tuber. (3) Plant population did not affect yield and number of tuber. (4) Fertilizers affected the yield and number of tubers. Moderate-doses fertilizers (150 N + 120 P2O5 + 80 K2O) kg/ha was adequate to increase yield and number of tubers
