It has been known that Nereis sp. occupies brackish water area in north coast of Java. However, the optimum salinity for it's has never been reported. The present research had been undertaken to find out the effect on the survival rate and growth of juvenile of Nereis sp. The research was conducted at the Animal Physiology Laboratory in Faculty of Biology, Unsoed. Three different groups of specimen were cultured in media containing brackish water with various salinity i.e. 10, 15, and 20 permil, respectively. The culture media were arranged according to Completely Randomized Design in 7 replicates. The result showed that the salinity affected the survival rate of Nereis sp. juvenile and its optimum salinity was 10 permil. The salinity has also affected the Nereis sp. juvenile growth with optimum salinity of medium for specimen's weight increment was 10 permil
