Summariezed results of investigations carried out by the methods of katena, trench and individual profile of acid and systematically long-term limed automorfic moderately podzoolized sod-podzolic soil on moraine loam are presented in this paper. The long-term liming (2.0 rates every 3-4 years according to hydrolitic acidity) had a marked effect only on the soil chemical properties in the profile to 40 cm depth. The long-term intensive liming stops the aciditification process in topsoil and subsoil. The investigation of trench method revealed the changes in the soil profile wall: illuvial horizon (B) transforms to eluvial (A2B) horizon. Obvious results are of clay particles migration from topsoil down the profile. The grid of podzolic veins in the intensive limed soil makes 66 percent of the square of profile wall
