The dynamics of chicken blood plasma proteins was investigated using the technique of electrophoresis in PAAG. The experiments were carried out using three groups of chicks: 1 - control; 2 - chickens were administered cadmium per os (100 mmg/100 g of body mass); 3 - chickens received the same amount of cadmium and diet supplemented with zinc (500 mg/kg of diet). Remarkable increase of protein quantity was established in alfa1-globulin fraction (at 100 %) in chicks with cadmium toxicity. Chickens of the 3-rd group fed cadmium and increased dose of zinc simultaneously and chickens of control group had the same level of this protein fraction. However the albumin fraction of blood plasma proteins of chickens of the 3-rd group increased by 30 %. The achieved data are the evidence that dynamics of blood plasma proteins can be used as an index of toxic action of cadmium on the organism and as a parameter for studies of heavy metal interaction.
