[Suitability of non-dropping pea varieties in mixtures with barley]

In the period of 1996-98 field trials were carried out at the Research Station of the Lithuanian University of Agriculture to investigate the suitability of three non-dropping pea varieties (Tomiai, Kibukai, Greitieji) in mixture with the barley variety "Roland". The investigation results showed that the highest grain yield was obtained by mixing the barley variety "Roland" with the pea variety "Kibukai". The seedings were less weedy and the protein content in grain was higher than in the mixtures with the other two pea varieties.
