Changes in Peroxidase activity in the shoots and roots of tomato cv., Pusa Gaurav infested with Meloidogyne incognita were determined two months after bare-root dip and soil drench treatments with Triazophos, Phenamiphos and Carbosulfan. Root and shoot samples of inoculated, non- treated control plants showed higher peroxidase activities than chemically treated plants irrespective of concentrations, period of exposure and method of application. Carbosulfan at higher concentration of 500 and 1000 ppm for a period of two hours exposure resulted in lower enzyme activity while Phenamiphos at 500 ppm when exposed to 1 and 3 hours dip showed high peroxidase activity. In soil drench treatment, highest activity of enzymes in the shoot was recorded where Carbosulfan was applied @ 250 and 500 ppm concentration.
