Analysis of financial resources of Lower Silesian communes

The region of Lower Silesia is an in homogeneous area as far as its nature, culture, economy and society are concerned. The condition and enterprise of communes is characterized by substantial spatial differences. The politics of local governments, their economy and activity significantly influence the level of income to communal budgets. The work analyses 126 communes of the following voivodeships: Jelenia Gora, Legnica, Wroclaw and Walbrzych, using the sums of specified budget income categories per capita. The study performed identified communes characterised by so called small enterprise or economic activity of local community, as well as those that can be described as low, medium and good financial condition communes
