Within the research programme referring to mapping Elaterids (wireworms) as depending on soil - type, in 1995 - 1996 the faunal material has been collected in the pedoclimate zone Secuieni - Neamt.Wireworm fauna in agricultural crops in Secuieni area has a spectrum including 8 species belonging to three genera, in which dominance is presented in decreasing order: Agriotes ustulatus Schall., A. ustulatus var. flavicornis Panz. and Athous sachari Kiesw. The most populated agricultural crops as shown by high abundance values were: French beans, two - rowed barley, wheat and maize. The ecological affinity of wireworm complex was in most cases good and very good from qualitative standpoint (sec Jacquard index). Quantitatively, these communities largely differed, while the affinity degree was negative.
